On completing a BA Hons in Drama & Film/TV Studies at UWA and realising that her real passion lay behind the camera, Pembrokeshire-born Nikki decided to embark on an exciting journey that lead to her starting her own professional video production service in 2008.
After working in the big smoke on shows like Good Food Live and Saturday Kitchen, where she gained her first insight into the fast paced production world working primarily as a Runner, Nikki returned to her hometown. Following many determined phone calls and letters she landed herself more permanent work as a Runner and Camera Assistant with local film production company Curlyman Productions. During her time at Curlyman, Nikki learnt many new skills, such as production planning, sound recording, researching and post production, which provided her with first-hand experience and knowledge of independent filmmaking.
Her experience has seen her secure a wide variety of projects for numerous clientele, ranging from high energy, fast-paced action shoots to filming across more tranquil, beautiful countryside locations in rural Wales. BBC Wales, PembrokeshireTV.com and an array of freelance projects feature on her CV. In addition to this, Nikki gained invaluable experience in her role as Multimedia Specialist for global energy companies Chevron and Valero.
Nikki brings her experience to M4 Media & Training as a Multimedia Specialist, with the aim of helping businesses market themselves using digital tools.
Outside of the office, Nikki loves spending time with her energetic daughter, who manages to capture an audience wherever she goes! She also owns a ‘cheeky’ pony who takes up much of her spare time so sitting still for too long is not an option in Nikki’s day-to-day schedule. She loves the beach and enjoys the summer, when BBQs and homemade vodka fruit smoothies are always on the menu!
