Construction firm Andrew Scott Ltd is pleased to announce the start of works on the demolition and development of a vehicle maintenance garage in Llanfihangle-ar-arth, Carmarthenshire. The project will be completed on behalf of Western Power Distribution, a company responsible for electricity distribution in the Midlands, South West and Wales.

“We are delighted to work with Western Power Distribution to strengthen the service that they offer to over 7.8 million customers across the Midlands, South West and Wales. Our specialist team has vast experience in this sector and will work hard to not only meet but exceed our client’s expectations,” said Mark Bowen, Managing Director at Andrew Scott Ltd.

The project will see the construction of an extension to form a specialist vehicle maintenance garage for the electricity distribution network operator. The project begins with the demolition of an existing building and the development of an extension to form a two bay garage facility. The new vehicle maintenance garage will enable HGVs to be worked on with the access doors closed.

“As with any construction project, this contract doesn’t come without its challenges. The Carmarthenshire based site is located within the confines of an existing Western Power Distribution depot, a facility which will remain occupied and operational during the construction process. We look forward to working closely with the Western Power Distribution team to ensure works can go ahead as planned, site staff at Western Power can undertake their roles without disruption and an improved facility can be harnessed following project completion,” concluded Mark.
