Award winning construction company Andrew Scott Ltd has yet again fulfilled their pledge of giving back to all the communities that they work within. Maes Y Gwendraeth is a school that Andrew Scott is particularly familiar with, as well as their Director of Stadia and Leisure Jonathan Davies OBE – you may know him better as a retired rugby player – being a former pupil, the firm actually built the school as part of a £14million scheme.
“I am looking forward to returning to my former school! Facilities have indeed changed for the better since I was a pupil but it is great to see that sport and rugby in particular are still thriving as part of the modern day curriculum,” said Jonathan.
After the completion of phase one of the scheme, which saw a range of additions linked to the existing school building, including a new technology and science block, the company moved on to the completion of refurbishment works in phase two before returning this year to lead the way once more with the development of the 4G Pitch.
Unlike many national construction companies however, Andrew Scott gives back over £100,000 per annum in community donations and sponsorship as part of their community partners strategy. With this particular project, the team called upon their sports stadia construction experience once more to build a TV and commentary gantry at the school overlooking the 4G Pitch, an addition worth over £8,000.

We regularly work on projects that are at the heart of the community, and our policy of giving back to each remains regardless of the size, sector or contract value of the particular build,” concluded Mark Bowen, Managing Director at Andrew Scott Ltd.
