Accountancy practice Bevan & Buckland is pleased to welcome Matthew Denney as the newest senior member of their continuously expanding team. Matthew joins Bevan & Buckland as Tax Partner, a position that will see him put his 16 years of experience working at the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms to excellent use.

Matthew qualified and practiced as a barrister-at-law before moving to a private client tax role at KPMG, it was here where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. From 2006 to 2015 Matthew worked at PwC in Swansea establishing invaluable relationships in the business community. Latterly, Matthew spent a year in London working with private equity and high net worth individuals.

“I am delighted to have joined Bevan & Buckland. I have advised families and their businesses on the various tax issues they face during their lifetime for over 16 years, and after an exciting year in London, it is great to be back in Swansea,” said Matthew.

With a private client and owner managed business background, Matthew has vast experience looking after individuals and their businesses throughout their entire life cycle, whilst his private equity expertise brings valuable insights when dealing with transactions on behalf of his clients.

Matthew added, “I am proud of the great businesses we have here in West Wales and passionate about establishing long term relationships with my clients. I am looking forward to bringing the best of the firm and myself to the marketplace and building new relationships in the business community.”

“We are delighted that Matthew has joined Bevan & Buckland at such an exciting time in the history of our business. As the firm continues to grow and given the increasing complexity of tax regulations Matthew joining us is a great addition to the team. The strength and ambition of our business has enabled us to attract people of Matthew’s calibre and that is great news for our clients,” concluded Alison Vickers, Managing Partner at Bevan & Buckland.

Tax Partner Paul Arnold added: “The firm has won significant work in the last three years on the back of the specialist tax advisory work carried out by our team.  The firm is working with many of the strongest and most exciting businesses in South Wales and I am delighted Matthew will add additional expertise and capacity to the rapidly expanding tax department.”
